why would she get upset at being called a Mrs.? doesn't that title automatically comes to a woman after marriage?

I have some reservations about her. y wont she answer her husband's name? isn't she a Nigerian woman? she is beautiful and intelligent but that aspect puts me off.
Anybody is free to air their opinion but this is one brand I'm proud to identify with anyday. Can't wait to grab that book, Americanah - Dorcas
